This notice explains family features and safety alerts offered by Praus AI LLC. It supplements our Consumer Terms and Privacy Policy. Descriptions apply only when a feature is available and enabled; the public homepage is a preview.
1. Eligibility and authority
A primary account holder must be at least 18. A minor participant must be at least 13, have a parent or legal guardian's permission and meet any higher applicable local age requirement. Under-13 accounts are not offered. A subscription payer is not automatically a legal guardian, and a family plan does not authorize monitoring another adult.
Do not falsely designate an adult as a child or claim authority over someone you do not represent. We may verify age, authority and account relationships. Contact support@ortelan.com to correct a designation or report unauthorized monitoring. Required legal protections for minors continue to apply.
2. What family controls can do
Available controls may set content preferences, manage access or provide limited activity and safety information. We explain what the feature shares, with whom and under what conditions before enabling it and obtain permissions required by law. An administrative role does not, by itself, grant access to every private conversation or to another member's independent account.
Family tools supplement supervision. They do not guarantee that content is appropriate for every age or that a restriction cannot be circumvented. Parents and guardians should discuss appropriate use, check settings and maintain communication with the child.
3. Alerts are limited and fallible
An enabled safety feature may identify content suggesting a possible concern and notify a disclosed, authorized parent, guardian or other approved contact. A notification may include the type of concern and limited relevant context or excerpts within the scope disclosed for that feature. Such information may be sensitive, including health-related information. See our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
An alert is not a diagnosis, factual determination, prediction, accusation or professional assessment. Automated systems can misunderstand fiction, quotations, jokes, context and genuine distress. Alerts can be wrong, incomplete or absent. Absence of an alert does not establish safety.
We do not promise review of every conversation, detection of every risk, continuous human monitoring, an alert within a particular time, or contact with emergency responders. No person should rely on the service to prevent injury, abuse, self-harm or other harm. These limitations do not waive duties that law imposes on us.
4. Delivery and responses
Delivery depends on settings, permissions, network availability and the recipient's device or account. Messages may be delayed, filtered, missed or delivered in error. Review contact information and available settings. Shared inboxes, lock screens and shared devices may reveal alerts to others; protect access accordingly.
Recipients should assess concerns through appropriate direct communication and qualified support. Do not wait for an AI response or notification in an emergency; contact local emergency services. Praus is not a healthcare provider, crisis service, child-protection agency or substitute for professional care.
5. Privacy, choices and requests
We limit disclosure to the authorized feature scope and lawful purposes. Family settings do not provide consent to unrelated processing, advertising or model training. We do not use minor-profile content for model training and do not sell minors' personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Use available settings or contact privacy@ortelan.com to ask about access, correction, deletion, consent or family relationships. We may verify identity and authority. The rights of a guardian and a minor depend on applicable law; neither subscription payment nor these terms overrides those rights. Changing a setting does not retrieve a notification already delivered or erase a recipient's independent copy. Legal obligations may require preservation or disclosure in limited circumstances as described in the Privacy Policy.
